A man forces love with magic, but it feels hollow. Learning love can't be forced.

Beneath the moon’s pale, watchful glow,
The wizard walked where shadows grow.
A man of power, fierce and wise,
With storms in his gaze and stars in his skies.

He saw her there, a fleeting light,
A girl who danced through day and night.
Her laughter rang, a melody,
A song he longed for, but could not be.

He offered her the world in flame,
The skies, the seas, a lover’s name.
But she, unbound, would not comply,
Her heart was wild, it would not lie.

His pride, once steel, began to crack,
He could not bear to lose her back.
“If love won’t bloom by nature’s hand,
I’ll shape it true, by my command.”

The spell he cast was soft, yet cruel,
A silver thread, a binding tool.
Her eyes grew warm, her smile near,
But something in her gaze felt queer.

She spoke his name, she held his hand,
Yet all of it felt softly planned.
Her touch was cold, her words too sweet,
A hollow echo, incomplete.

He saw the truth, his heart grew sore,
This wasn’t love, not anymore.
A puppet’s strings, a forced embrace,
No spark of life, no fire, no grace.

He tore the spell, he set her free,
Though pain it brought, it had to be.
For love compelled is love undone,
A shadowed mockery of the sun.

She left him there, beneath the sky,
No words of hate, no last goodbye.
And though his heart still aches, he knows,
True love can’t bloom where magic sows.

Now wanders he, in endless night,
A starless void, a blighted sight.
For love that’s forced is never real,
A wound that time cannot heal.
