"This is your last warning."

Robo skulked out of the Police Station, hood drawn tight against the wind and headed for the precinct. Huddled in a doorway he held his hand out to every passing stranger. Every one looked the other way. His tummy gurgled. His eyes pleaded but were met with blank stares.

He trudged to his favourite supermarket. Good, the security woman had not come on shift yet. Robo focused on his goal, the clearance section of the fridges. A sausage roll, some offcuts of cold meat, ooh cheese, he filled his pockets then grabbed a bottle of water and headed for the door.

"Gotcha!" Collar grabbed he waited for his ride.

"Put him in cell six and make him a cuppa."

"You are a persistent recidivist. I have no choice but to give you a custodial sentence. Do you have anything to say before I pass sentence?"

"Yes Sir. Will I get a nice warm bed and three meals a day?"

"Yes, Of course."

"Then can you make it as long as possible."
