Drugs, violence, sex, and gun violence being exposed to young adults isn't a good case.
May 15, 1991.

Yet again, my parents were arguing, sounds of glass shattering filled my ears as i heard police sirens. In a swift motion, our eyes darted towards nearest place we could find to shelter. My bedroom. Millions of rainbows filled my eyes, adrenaline coursing through my body as Me, my cocky older brother Jahseh, and my younger sister Kat all hurled up in my bedroom. Trembles and whimpers echoed the room.
My trembling hands soon found its way to cover my sisters ears. My older brother, bless his heart, attempted to calm us down. Him, himself panicking like insane.

It all started when my mother gave birth to me. There she was, beach-blonde, holding onto that railing like the captain of a ship which is about to go down miserably, smoking her Marlboro, her grip on the railing I'm afraid, never cooled down. Just at 17 years old, she had me. At 15, my older brother was still inside of her. My sweaty hand reached for the door knob, signalling my siblings to follow. Slowly, we made our way out of the house. I sighed in relief, as I rested my head against the pavement. My two siblings a panting mess beside me.

"What the hell?", *I muttered under my breath, a chuckle coming out of my lips*

"Your laughing? not surprising." *My older brother chuckled, meeting my gaze*

My brother's hands reached to his black polyester jeans pocket, reaching for a pack of Marlboro cigarettes, before passing me one.

"This isn't a joke! seriously guys?!" *My bratty younger sister whined.*

As we sat under the stars, taking a drag out of our cigarettes and inhaling the smell of the suspenseful night, we later soon drifted to sleep.
