First Day: Read Lesson 19 Notes.

The notes and lecture fortify the truth of the passage for understanding and application to daily life.

1. What thoughts from the lecture helped you grasp the gravity of God’s judgment of rebellion?


2. How did the notes give you greater appreciation for the Lord’s redemption of His people?

Second Day: Read Revelation 15:1-4.

John witnessed heavenly worship.

3. Describe what John saw and heard in verses 1-3.

15 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God


4. Using your own words or other Scripture references, state truths about God from each of the five sentences in the song of Moses and of the Lamb.

“Great and amazing are your deeds.” In Job 38-39, God says He laid the foundation of the earth, commanded the morning, and bound the Pleiades, as no man could do.

“Just and true are Your ways.” Isaiah 30:18 God Is justice, Isaiah 61:8, loves justice and repeatedly calls on us to be just. Similarly, God Is truth and all He does Is true. He is our example, revealing Himself as true, just, and righteous, and blessing us when we practice these things, and wait on Him to see His work.

“Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?” Fear is necessary thing to attempt to recognize the width and height depth and grandeur of God. We are overwhelmed and can only fall at His feet and give Him glory.

who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite. God is the only holy one , and through Him, we can be made Holy.





5. When you think of all God is, has done, and will do, how will you praise Him today?

Third Day: Read Revelation 15:5-8.
John saw the bowl judgments being prepared.
6. What did John see as he looked to heaven?

7. Read Exodus 40:34-35; 2 Chronicles 5:13-14; and Isaiah 6:1-4. What do these passages and Revelation 15:5-8 say about God’s presence?

8. What specific confidence, comfort, or help do you receive from God, who “lives for ever and ever” and in the presence of His people today?

Fourth Day: Read Revelation 16:1-14.

9. a. How do each of the first six bowl judgments compare with God’s acts described in the
accompanying verses listed below?
First bowl (Exodus 9:8-11)

Second bowl (Exodus 7:14-25; Revelation 8:8-9)

Third bowl (Revelation 8:10-11)

Fourth bowl (Deuteronomy 28:22; 2 Peter 3:7)

Fifth bowl (Exodus 10:21-23)

Sixth bowl (Exodus 8:1-15; 14:21-27)

b. What do these judgments say about God’s power and His sovereignty over creation?

10. a. How is the response of the beast’s followers like Pharaoh’s response to Moses?

b. Have you ever responded to God like this? What was the result of your response?

11. How does the truth of these judgments affect or change your sharing of the gospel with others?

Fifth Day: Read Revelation 16:15-21.
The seventh angel poured out the seventh bowl judgment.
12. a. Who spoke in verse 15? (See also Luke 12:39-40 and 2 Peter 3:10.)

b. Describe this final judgment, which was preceded by the words, “It is done!”

c. What is the most severe destruction you have experienced or heard about in your nation or the
world? What does it mean that the destruction in this chapter will exceed anything ever known?

13. a. Why should you “stay awake”? (See Matthew 24:43-44; Mark 13:32-37; 2 Peter 3:10.)

b. What does it mean to “remain clothed”? (See Isaiah 61:10; Romans 13:11-14; Galatians 3:26-27.)

14. Considering these terrible coming judgments, how might you explain the compatibility of God’s love and wrath? (See also 2 Peter 3:9.)

Sixth Day: Review Revelation 15–16.
God’s justice brings Him glory and deserves our praise.
15. How has God moved in you regarding His promised judgment and people’s refusal to believe?
