"Fake Glimmers" reflects on the fleeting nature of friendships, wealth, and life itself.
I've watched friends turn into foes,
and seen riches vanish into nothingness.
Everyone with a soul,
everyone with a vow,
is temporary and mortal, disguised as glimmers.

Not that I mind these worldly things,
I often think about entirety;
there, death draws near, to cling.

Not that I mind—
For always, it's behind.
