As with his nonfiction work THE WATER WILL RISE, THE HEAT WILL KILL YOU FIRST should be an eye-opening wake-up call to civilians, scientists, politicians, corporations, and governments, of the dangers of the current headlong race to potential ultimate destruction of life on this planet, via the outcomes of inevitable climate change.

Although the nature of this topic is frightening, both for the present and future, and the anecdotes of lives lost and of destruction of animal and plant life saddening, I think learning the status of this scary trend is both enlightening and essential, and I appreciate author Jeff Goodell's finely-detailed research, efforts, and ability to make the Science (and the facts) comprehensible to non-scientists.
