Feminine Rage

teach your daughters to be kind,
teach them to be honest and caring and wise.
show them how to love and laugh and cry,
and how to move on when you have to say goodbye.

but teach them to scream and shout and never break,
tell them to stand their ground and fight the ache.
let them be angry, let there be fire,
let them be bold, despite mans desire.

let them create a world where,
they and their mothers are allowed to care.
when and where men touch their bodies.

help them end the cycle,
where women are forced into survival,
where men see them as subservient copies.

so teach them civility, and teach them humility,
and teach them it's okay to show vulnerability.

but tell them the world is ours to change,
and teach the value of feminine rage.
