a crude figure representing a hated person
i see you there, with longer hair and younger eyes
a nervous smile and thin-coated lies.
i see you there, with screaming sobs and calloused thoughts
a distant stare and fear of gunshots.

and i hope you remember you survived,
i hope you remember to swim.
i hope you have perfected your disguise,
and i hope your god has asked for mercy and you have refused to forgive him.
