Bathroom springs a leak just days before Christmas

Oh, Christmas is coming in less than two weeks,
But all through the house there are nothing but leaks.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
When suddenly water sprung up from nowhere.

"Quick, call a plumber," I cried to my spouse!
Fam will be coming to fill up our house,

In just a few days, there'll be knocks on the door,
While under the tree, will be presents galore.

"It's a 'yuge' nightmare," the plumber exclaimed,
Pointing at where to lay all the blame.

"That potty's been leaking each time you have flushed,
And down through the wall all the water has rushed.

The leak, then dripped to the closet below.
We'll rip out the walls, and away they'll be towed."

So now our house hosts 'remediating' fans,
While we're hoping to continue our Christmas plans.

Now, without one bathroom and a closet for boots,
There still will be goodies, presents and fruits.

And still there'll be laughter and love oh so bright,
With family gathered to laugh at this sight.

By the spirit of Christmas we still all feel blessed,
So what if our house has been terribly messed?

Through love and laughter there still will be mirth,
As a family we all celebrate a boy child's birth.
