the Jehovah's witness Bible being translated to fit their theology, yet has contradictions |
The Jehovah's witness translation (NWT) failing itself Despite the Jehovah's witness bible being carefully translated to fit their broken theology, which I wont mention here because it has already been mentioned enough to realize its plain stupidity, their own bible translation fails their theology of the holy spirit simply being a force rather than being God, or being conscious at all, however, the NWT translation says otherwise; Here is a few verses. Acts 13:2 "As they were ministering to Jehovah and fasting, the holy spirit said: 'Set aside for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.'" - Acts 8:29 "So the spirit said to Philip: 'Go over and approach this chariot.'" - Acts 16:6-7 "Moreover, they traveled through Phrygia and the country of Galatia, because they were forbidden by the holy spirit to speak the word in the province of Asia. Further, when they came to Mysia, they made efforts to go into Bithynia, but the spirit of Jesus did not permit them." - (John 14:26, Acts 20:23, Romans 8:26-27) In all these verses, it is mentioned that the holy spirit either talks, hears or is a guide to us humans. Can a simple force hear or talk? I wouldn't believe so. And if any JW says, "It is God talking", do you seriously believe Luke or John would really interpret God talking as the "holy spirit", and if so, why isn't it mentioned that God is talking than the holy spirit talking through God? Furthermore, the bible calls Jesus uncreated in john 1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in the beginning with God. All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. In monotheism, and even Christianity, only God is uncreated, but this verse talks about Jesus creating everything, it is only rational to believe the being that created everything to be uncreated, right? So, their own bible, calls Jesus God, case closed. |
