A child alone during war.
Surrender
To the sweet silence
After the pummeling
Of Rockets
Exploding in a
Barrage of self
Defense, as the
Collateral damage in
Physical form is
Disregarded for the
Military industrial complex
That churns a nation.
The righteous stuff their
Pockets, hearts and minds
Shrinking
while blind eyes
And turned backs align
With prosperity
greed
That filthy need, wanting more
Yet it's never enough.
Screams
Fill the night,
a whistle pierces
The air,
to Crouch and hide
Or run, to
where?
