"I finally figured out myself for the first time."
Coming Clean/The Town Inside Me
Ark Blitz

Nothing, a pure black void, darkness. All you seem to have is your eyes, and your consciousness. Looking down and seeing nothing… disturbs you. You imagine your penis there, and it appears. But it doesn’t feel right, you can’t pinpoint why, it just feels out of place. You wonder what if you chose… a different option. That thought wasn’t anything new to you, but something had always stopped you from questioning beyond surface level. You close your eyes and think, there’s nothing when you open them, only skin. But in between your legs, a new part is added. It shouldn’t feel right, but it does. The feeling you have is foreign to you, almost like relief, but not quite. It’s as if you’ve escaped endless burdens masquerading as mediocrity, and now have found something good, something better. Changing your focus to the gap where your torso would be, there always had been something missing, something wrong. As you think about it, your chest pops into place, but you have breasts. Your eyes widen, you’ve never felt this good before, nothing ever felt this good. It’s so hard to describe pure joy to a level never felt is the only way to describe it. The black void begins to light, the rest of your body filling in as you let your imagination run wild. Legs, arms, neck, the rest of your body is formed. Your legs and arms look as if they were waxed, long and elegant hair drapes over your shoulders. The darkness has turned into piercing white. With only your thoughts you are able to try on all new types of clothing, you feel almost high off of the excitement. A nice black skirt, fishnets, jean vest, black tee, and combat boots, it’s perfect.

Out of the corner of your eye you see the darkness returning. It seems to surround something, no, someone. They spread the black void with each step they take, each step closer to you. They look like… the old you. They repulse you, their smile is uncanny beyond belief. Your fist clench, you hate them with a passion, you’ve escaped the burdens and are never going back. With every step they take, your rage grows, boiling inside you. Once they are a mere few feet away, you pounce.
You slam your fist into its head, hitting harder and harder as your knuckles begin to bleed. It’s face becoming more mangled with each hit, it bleeds the black void, the puddle under them slowly grows. You don’t let up, not until their face no longer resembles that of a human. As you slowly get up, you begin to laugh, hysterically. Tears start streaming down your face. Because you realize, it’s over. Even though you have a long way to go, it will be an infinitely better future, I know it will be Petrova.
