Teenage boy is a philsopher, not an athlete, his father puts him down.
FOR MY QUIET NEPHEW

To see the promise of such goodness
there,
and to be aware of all the pain
that life will bring.

To see the quiet hint of inner
treasure,
and to measure that against the
little outward things.

Am I the only one who sees,
who glimpses wealth
that dares not
show itself ?
