Phantom's Gold

         I made it pretty clear in my bio that I'm here to review and enjoy the wonderful stories from the imagineers of Writing.com. I should clarify: As much as possible, I choose my stories from the Please Review page. That way I know I'm not sticking my nose in where it isn't wanted. But it seems that something more is warranted, something more permanent than a line in this record that no one may ever read. So I'm inaugurating the Phantom's Gold award for the story that most impressed me from each month.
         We all know that everyone has their preferences, and I'm no exception. I don't know the first snap about poetry, and I prefer adventure to romance, horror to family drama, but I'll try anything, and if a story impresses me with its quality, don't be surprised if it comes up with an award. I pride myself on being unpredictable. So, now that you know the ground rules, let's make some awards!
