The end of love. 1 act play.
Title: "The Last Call"

Characters:
John – (40s, rugged, intense)
Lisa – (30s, calm but conflicted)

(The scene opens in a dimly lit bar. A single light shines on John as he nurses his drink. Lisa enters slowly, glancing around before taking a seat across from him.)

Lisa: Thought you said you’d quit coming here.

John: (shrugs) Thought you’d quit checking up on me.

Lisa: (with a hint of irritation) Someone has to.

John: No one asked you to. (leans forward, eyes locked on hers) What do you want, Lisa?

(A brief silence. Lisa’s eyes dart to the floor.)

Lisa: Just some answers. About why… (she trails off, gathering her thoughts) why you walked out.

John: (coldly) That’s old news, isn’t it?

Lisa: To you, maybe.

(They sit in silence, the tension thick. John finally softens, as though he’s holding back a flood of emotions.)
