This is a poem describing the last moments of the year before the clock strikes midnight.

New Year's Eve

The clock is slowly ticking, the time is going by,

It's incredible to think how this year has gone to fly.

Today is a special day, it's the last day of the year,

Even though it may sound frightening, there is truly nothing to fear.

All are gathered together, some on the chairs and some on the floor,

But with all the delightful games to play, it will never be a bore.

Today is New Year's Eve, and tomorrow is New Year's Day,

And when the clock strikes midnight, we will all go on our way.
