Zamboanga, My Heart's Forever Home

This is my poetry about Zamboanga, this poem is dedicated to the place of my birth

In a quiet and peaceful place
Where there is a vast, beautiful sea
A city of happiness, a colorful town
Where different cultures and races met

Oh, Zamboanga, truly a unique city.
I seek another visit to you.
Your glory and beauty will never be taken away.
In the land full of flowers that blooms

Oh Zamboanga, my heart’s forever home.
The gentle wind blows silently.
In the crystal clear waters
Oh! My birthplace it is

Now, I am chasing my dreams to return back to you.
I am finally embracing who I am.
And singing joyfully with hope.
After how many years living away from you

Oh Zamboanga, you are admirable and adorable.
Among all other places I have been
Manila, Cebu, Davao
You are the jewel among them.

Whenever I heard your song, I cried.
Because I long to be with you again.
I shed tears as the time went by.
Sitting beside the lonely sea, thinking about you
