Eight line poem
I stand alone atop the highest cliff,
Below the roaring sea.
I feel so small, it is as if
The only one alive is me.

The island looms from out the mist
Ethereal, a shadow blue and grey.
It calls to me, I can’t resist
It’s pull. In what I do, I have no say.
