all dogs are ambassadors
His rousing cheer,
to the bin man who came to collect the rubbish bin.
The postman often left us
sad news, we called bills.
His mouth opened slightly,
A grin, and a little wider, and I wondered what he was laughing at...
At the end of a busy day,
legs up in the air , his body twisted as it drooped slightly to one side.
My little ambassador of the woof,
I called him.
Warning the local cats that they were trespassing
on his hallowed ground.
Now , he lays quieter.
Those eyes ask me , and often tell me when it's time for dinner.

Those eyes ask me, and often tell me when it's time for dinner,

On his hallowed ground,
warning the local cats that they were trespassing.
I called him,
My little ambassador of the woof.
Legs up in the air, his body twisted as it drooped slightly to one side,
at the end of a busy day.
A grin , and alittle wider, and I wondered what he was laughing at,
his mouth, opened slightly.
Sad news, we called bills,
the postman often left us.
To the bin man who came to collect the bin,
his rousing cheer.
