A story about a failure at the theater.
Today was the day. The long awaited "Whispers From The Forgotten" was about to start.

People were on every last seat, waiting for the theatrical performance to start.

Asher sipped his hot cocoa to warm his cold body, "Is this play ever going to start?" He whispered to Mia, his pet cat.

Mia traveled everywhere with him. They could understand what each other were saying, and they shared most interests. (Except food.)

Asher found Mia in a alley way, very wounded. And her eye was bleeding very badly. Asher took Mia to the vet and got her fixed up. She had a new robotic eye, and a realistic prosthetic leg, the eye had x-ray powers. Asher had spent all of his savings on this cat.

"Mia! I think its about to start!" Said Asher, a bit too loudly, the person two seats over gave them the side-eye.

A person walked up to the mic, "Hello everyone! I'm very sorry for the extra long wait, one of the props fell over and we had to construct it quickly again.
Thankfully, we were able to do it relatively fast and now we can start the play! Enjoy!" He left the stage. Everyone in the whole theater started clapping.

First, a song was played by a band, people went on stage in ghost costumes and started dancing.

A few moments later the chorus started.

"Meow, mew, mowww" Mia sung along. Asher looked at Mia and smiled, he didn't know he knew this song.

As the second act started, Asher heard a "crack" sound. He didn't think much about it at the time, but he should of.

People started acting out a scene, where there were people praying to whispering ghost. It was very strange play, Asher thought.

"Craaack!"

People started to get very worried, Mia stopped purring, and the actors on the stage stopped and looked up the ceiling of the stage.

"Crraaaack, Crrreeeeek." Even louder this time.

The people on stage slowly backed off it.

"Kaacrack!!" The stages ceiling started to buckle, everyone on the stage started to run. People started to scream, the play had turned into a catastrophe! Everyone ran towards the exits, if the stage was collapsing, the whole place might come down with it.

"Mia!" Asher yelled, he couldn't find the cat. He searched, he searched. The whole theater was falling down. "Mia! There you are!" Asher picked up Mia and ran towards the exit.

Fire alarms started blaring. They sprinted as fast as they could. People were knocking each other over, They had to leap over fallen people.

Finally, they reached the exit, out of breath. The play was a little more dramatic then they thought it would be.
