A poem about pain.
the person I see before me, a never ending painful story.
pain in life, but not more sorrowful than the one on my heart.
a painful look in it's eyes, sleepless nights hurries by.
yet the person I see I recognize very clearly.

drawn from the outside world to an inner one
a black fog surrounding it, strange to see what it's become.
life's a mess but yet we try and run
we hide the truth within the figure in front of us
it knows the worst parts of us
Cry's, Screams, Sorrowful touches
separated by a piece of reflecting glass
which can be shattered like a heart.

pain pushes deeper within the heart and an expression on my face,
to make others laugh
no one must know, no one can know
it's a secret between me an the mirror,
I know it'll never tell
it's vision like a hidden well
in a few years or so it'll see a new figure,
a new story
Dropping yours like a penny in a well, only if you're lucky.

It watches us day and night, our past and present within its frame
yet we still fight with what we see within.
