Like most humans, I was infected with a disease: the addiction of dreaming. It wasn't the usual suspects like alcohol, weed, or nicotine, which I am indeed addicted to, but Instead, I craved the euphoria of a life I don’t have. These dreams weren't mere wishes; they were vivid, sensory experiences. In them, for a short moment I became the protagonist, creating events in my head that went exactly my way to show every feature I wish I had, but did not. Like any sickness, the more it occurs, the worse and worse it gets. Searching for that short high where I had everything I wanted, and instantly coming back to a life where I had nothing, fueled the addiction, leaving me yearning for the next escape.
