Poem about immigration
Once upon a time… in a land far far away.
There lived a girl and her family, friends, and neighbors.
She lived happily in her hometown with nothing to worry about.
Life was good for this five years old until…
She and her family moved to a land called America.

“American is a land of paradise,” said her neighbors.
Little did they know that America was very different.
Language. Food. Race. Culture. Everything.
By the time school started, this little girl struggled.
No English. No friend. America did not seem like paradise.

Now ten years later, her life is filled with the American dream.
She speaks the same language as her friends, and now…
This girl bleeds red, white, and blue with a mix of her hometown.
Life in America became paradise through time…
So the girl lived happily ever knowing paradise existed.
