A poem about true love gone, but the strength to forgive. |
I Forgive You The pain cuts through me like a jagged knife as distant memories of you plague my mind. Once I believed you were the love of my life until you led my heart astray as if I was blind. I forgive you I remember the moment we shared our first kiss while I held you close in my loving embrace. Tis a memory I will always cherish and dearly miss although there would be deceit hiding beyond your face. I forgive you Despite the fact I was unable to afford the best for you my mission was always to provide you with devoted love. You desired the luxurious life over a love that was true throwing away my feelings like trash ready to be disposed of. I forgive you Time has passed since the day you shattered my beating heart as I continue to travel along this road of life alone. My soul yearns for solace as the memories of you start to depart yet I hope that your heart no longer remains hard as stone. I forgive you This is the hardest decision in which I have to make I know but I discovered for me to finally achieve peace is to start by letting you go. I forgive you. Written by: Jason L. Anderson |
