This poem is about without God in our lives, what are we?
What Am I

What am I but a speck of earthen clay?
Just a granule to enrich the land of Earth.
Yet, with delicate hands of a potter, you mold me day by day,
Transforming me into a child in your vision and of your worth.

What am I but a single leaf upon the tree of life?
Hanging on by a stem waiting for the wind to carry me away.
Still, your breath of serenity relieves my soul of strife,
As your words of truth and love keeps me from going astray.

What am I but a whisper among a turbulent sea?
Silenced by deafening voices crying out for mercy.
Despite feeling censored by society, you’re able to hear me,
For you speak truth & wisdom, never controversy.

Once I was but a lost soul full of sin and disgrace,
Until the day I was saved by your unparalleled, amazing grace.
