Covering happiness in life and through me
Title. The smile

Pride and newfound hunger, a fire within
A burning desire, a longing to win
But as I sit here, I can't help but wonder
How did we become, a copy of the other?

One face we show, but many souls we possess
Is it a forked tongue, or a serpent's caress?
Society's standards, they try to define
But deep down inside, our true selves do shine

We question and search, for the answers we seek
But will we ever know, how far to peek?
I sit here and ponder, sometimes not even wonder
For my existence, is what I make of it, I ponder

What is the true meaning, of this life we live?
Is it what society tells us, or what we choose to give?
I used to accept, their version of truth
But now I know, it's my own perspective, that's my proof

In our own unique ways, we make our own path
Society's judgment, we don't have to be swayed by their wrath
For the true meaning of life, lies within our hearts
And when we find it, true happiness starts

A smile so bright, that nothing can dim
Our own divine heaven, on this earth, we begin
But sometimes it all comes crashing down
When society says, we must wear their crown

They push us down, with their rules and norms
But we must stand tall, and weather the storms
For the true meaning of life, is not theirs to keep
It's in our own hands, as we take the leap

I see it clearly, with the wool off my eyes
I won't be a programmed machine, living their lies
I'll stand on my own feet, with courage and pride
For my divine way, is the light that will guide

So let go of society's hold, and find your own way
The true meaning of life, is yours to portray
With a smile so big, and a heart full of light
You'll find your own heaven, shining so bright.

The End
