The Chains That Bind You

The web of life is intricately twined
Weaving in and out of the chainlink's grip.

Whilst gossamer threads entrap and snare,
Daring one to try and escape the poisonous grasp
Of tribulation's tendrils waiting to strike.

Such venomous wrath of the lessons of life,
Slurping out the light of our mind and soul.

Stuck in the glue of horrid memories,
Lost in a tangle of mental discord.

Grab onto the arduous steel that intimidates,
Believe in your strength, vaporize the bars.

Dig in deep, give a full-bodied roar,
And obliterate the binds that restrain you.
