In life there are opportunities presented to us, but we at times are looking away.
In Trigonometry two parallel lines meet at one point. In the real world where those lines join, we call it making ends meet. As good as a Sheppard we attempt to be sometimes we have to do what Tom G said and “represent the struggle.”

A few acronyms I must approach to hoarse the boasting perceptions painted into our tainted imagery. I would like to start with WHY? Why is the never-ending question that questions our subconscious and demonstrates our inability to timely seize a moment to conjure a thought and attain the information that’s revealed. LAME-MANS-TERM: If we take the time and listen and not think about what we want to reply with, we can decipher what is visual and there would be no need for the “What’s Holding You.” Therefore it would be clear of “What’s Helping You” and the acronym W.H.Y shall no longer subsist in your vocabulary as a functional word. We struggle, and I quote “WE” struggle for the inheritance that has been prearranged and ordained but we opt to journey to a greater understanding that’s known to our livings. And Why? I’m glad I asked. That brings me to my next acronym.

YOU. You are the only and most reliable source that you have for you, under God. But, “Your Own Understanding” will keep you in dark places, running winless races, and fighting losing cases. What you understand was gifted to you and it can rip through your pores like unopened shut doors, and will place itself on display like the clearance rack in department stores. Malcolm Little had to attach an X to him before he could lead being he wasn’t comfortable of his own so he understood as Malcolm. Ali wasn’t in his owns as Cassius Clay so he took his understanding through the Nation. Dr.
King father took a liking unto his own as he renamed his son that led us-folk to desegregation. Don’t allow your own understanding (YOU) manifested to forget what got you to the struggle you have convention for yourself.

Our worst enemy would go to any extent to create the visualized exposure just to get a nurturing moment to say they won a battle that was unknown to the recipient. How sad it may seem, acronym # 3 is WE! We are our “Worst Enemy” We could walk by a shiny struggle strutting the way we like, but can’t resist because our inner beast would just love to take an emotional bite. Knowing from the glitter it ain’t Gold, but what the heck, we believe in love at first sight. Our struggle takes a left but to get back to where we were, we have to take four rights. Lil Angel on your shoulder saying, “I told ya so”, the Devil on the other laughing and pointing saying “Sike”. We can see that struggle a million folds and still give it a second thought under the lights in the middle of the night. I shake my head to my Worst Enemy because his story (history) repeats itself more times than thrice.

Ok, our life struggles consist of acronyms and movie films and even pulling the shortest stem. But as the old saying says, “there is nothing new under the sun”. Everything we’re facing dictates opportunities we’ve had but chose to choose the optimistic path. Our parents lived in two bedroom apartments with four kids and a dog just to see the parallel line meet. They worked in cotton gins, harvest crops in the cold coming home with three layers of clothes to keep the muck off their skin. I don’t sympathize for my struggles. We watched them make it for years living off the will to survive for that is why God placed us here. They gave us all the tools we needed to never quit, fail from time to time we must, but always keep the eye on the prize. “Life is what we make it, the world is all gravy, if the opportunity comes, man we gotta take it” the
words of Tony Kinsler Son T.K.S.

Our pride stands in front of our stride because we fear what the people may say about us that’s observing from the side. We’re in a time of struggle because we won’t allow our minds to intertwine with these trying times and adapt the hustle. Our nation bailed out the banks to keep them at ranks so we won’t trade amongst ourselves that way they can keep their shanks. I too am guilty and need to do more. My rhymes were taught
to me with reason in the 4th Grade but only for a season. My reasons are lifted through my seasons and I really didn’t intend for this to be a poetic meeting. But since I’m airing it through my writing, no need to continue fighting, this gift I have been handed to speak to the world without sighing. I was called out today and asked to step in the spot, without a shadow of a doubt I took the plot, to tell the world what I really love not. I love not the things we say, then turn the deaf ear to portray, an illustration that sustain plenty fray.

Poor struggle are Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly because the Worst Enemy is What’s Holding You instead of What’s Helping You when being caught up in Your Own Understanding. The real struggle is within the ignorance we refuse to defuse when its time to sacrifice to suffice even when you don’t have to do so.

Two parallel lines at one point in the world of Trigonometry meet. Before they make it to their meeting point, there are grids, charts, y & x-axis, obtuse, acute, and right angles they may have to take to get to that point. The beauty of it, one line don’t know the struggle the other line had to go through to get to that point. “Poor is not an Option”
