Madness

Madness compels madness,
A malignancy on wisdom, a parasite of innocence.
Vengeance, the destruction of enemies,
Defense of home, law, justice.
Fire for fire, sword for sword.

Now truth runs from my fingers.
like gore from unsheathed claws,
And I have shed the blood of children,
and sown their ashes among the stars.
