No more fireworks on display. What would happen if this were today? Fires wouldn't happen; they wouldn't Land on your roofs, or in your yard; This would be great; nothing is charred, or marred with ashes galore; cleaning up the messes wouldn't be such a chore. No more fireworks to celebrate the day; this would be rather sad. Brilliant displays of color are rather fabulous in the sky; without these colors, life would be dreary instead of cheery. The wonderment of it all is so spectacular; The romance part of it would make the grade. Love is in the air, so, sit down and do some kissing; you know you won't be missing a thing, when you get that sparkling ring. Don't be foolish, just follow the rules; you Won't be in trouble when this is done; no one gets hurt, no homes are destroyed; there won't be a reason to be annoyed. No more fireworks just wouldn't be fun. With no more enjoyment on the fourth of July, no veterans would be honored on this special day. With no more fireworks to worry about, no one needs to give a shout or holler when some ligaments are lost. The dangers of the fireworks are clear; we shouldn't have to fear when things are done right. No more fireworks may keep us safer; no loud booms to chill our bones; they remind me of a thunderous storm; rattling my insides is not the norm. No more fireworks would calm our nerves; Animals wouldn't have to run away; they would be home to stay. 37 Lines Written by Anna Marie Carlson Sunday, July 2, 2023 |
