Lovely Weather

Today was dark, wet, and almost perfect.
It was stark, but yet I can't quite express it . . .
I enjoyed it thoroughly. Not every day is a good day
I woke up real early ... okay? Today, i must say,
I had something especial planned out for me.
A long planned pleasure under the shade of a tree.
But the weather today is a bit better to my personal liking.
Yes sir . . . darker and wetter with an arsenal of lightning.
It ruined my plans and left me with time on my hands.
With the weather today, my admiration it demands.
A beauty to behold. There's always tomorrow, right?
Put my plan on hold for a slight slice of delight.
I may say goodbye when the day isn't in touch with me.
Guessing the grey today made me feel bright and sunny.
