Document of poems that I will continue to add to.
They think I can’t hear,
the way they whisper about me
in the other room.

But I can.
I always hear,
I’m always listening.

And it
hurts.

His eyes,
were like a warm
wooden cabin,

with small fawns
prancing around
in the nearby field.

————————

I follow people
who benefit
me.
When they don’t
I cast them aside.

It’s not
my fault,
It's instinct.

I learned from the people
who did it
to me.

I lost my empathy
for people.
I only tell them what they need to hear
so they stay at their
most beneficial point.

I really couldn’t
care less for how they feel.
I have to
bite,
my tongue to keep myself from
laughing when they confess
their problems to me.

I don’t ask them to,
they just trust me
so much.

It’s a mistake
of course,
you should
never,
trust a listener.
They know everything.
I know everything.

That is how
I hurt people.
They confide in me,
tell me their secrets,
and I keep them safe!
Until,
they
fail me.

————————

If I dont have anyone to take care of,
How can I take care of myself.

————————

Become a poet
Take one's emotions and put them on full
Believe in one's conscience
Speak up from the heart and mind
Don't think, just write
Believe what you write
Believe in what you know and cannot see
Words and ideas change the world
If anyone tells you otherwise,
Kick them.

“Thou takes me
For a fool?”
The woman asked,
“I do.”
The man breathed out,
“But let me tell you
Why”
He continued.
“Go on then
Indulge me.”
She scoffed.
He carefully took her hands pulling her along,
She reluctantly followed.
“I want thee to look over yonder,”
He pointed to the rising sun over the horizon.
“Tell me what thou sees…”
She stared aimlessly and confused,
While his eyes never left her face.
“I see,
A beautiful sun-
“Aha!”
He cut her off and spun her around,
“That is where thy is wrong!”
He pulled her in close,
So that he may lay his head
perfectly fit,
In the crook of her neck.
“Nothing dare,
Be more beautiful than thee.”

————————

I let my mother down again.
I don’t do it on purpose,
But I keep doing it.
I love storms
Rain calms me
But she is like a storm that rages constantly, never ending.
And wherever you go she's there
Screaming in your ear,
Knocking you down,
Giving you restless nights,
And sunless days.
She says she loves me
But the only emotion I have for her
Is hate.

Could you
Would you.
Follow me to the depths,
Follow me to the skies,
Follow me through the storms,
And follow me through the lies.
Would you
Could you.
Trust me in blind,
Trust me so that I can find
The parts I lost to the great divine.
Should you
May you
Believe in us
Believe in our trust
In innocence
And without a greedy lust.

A million lies have I told
A million lives rot like mold
Because of the lies I told
Because of the lies I told

Forgive me my mother
Forgive me my father
Forgive me my sister
And the second as well

Forgive me my teachers
Forgive me my neighbors
Forgive me for all the small white lies
That I’ve told

They come like air
They fill my lungs
Then I breath them out
As easily as they come

I now live in a lie
That has become my life
If I take your for granted,
know that my smile will be slanted.

A change in the wind
Acts to discipline
The wind won’t be
and it can't be
stopped

You can’t fight the wind
because it won’t be kind
A tear from my face
because I can't match its pace
I can cry and scream
I create a stream
my eyes shining, gleaming
A river flowing
never ending
I would love to hold you again
and write to you with an old pen
But you left me long ago
so I look for you, to and fro

I know your not where the wind wants to take me
and I struggle to stomach the idea you see
would you be able to if you were also me?

The wind can be cruel
it makes people look like fools
Though it makes life beautiful
because of its destined pull
I don't want to trust it
I want to know what to predict
but even if I don’t want to
even if I have no clue
I will
because even still
anywhere I go
you won’t be there to welcome me home.

A bright light in the dark as you drive on the highway
you go through a tunnel
A few orange lights have gone out
a teenager out for a late night motorcycle drive revs the throttle

A bright dewy morning
that fresh air
the grass is wet
The sun is almost too bright as it peeks through your curtains

a breezy summer day
the beach is crowded with people
little kids run around yelling and throwing sand
the water is a perfect temperature and your mother calls you in for sandwiches

A snowy night
its below freezing outside as your curled up in a blanket with hot chocolate
school is hopefully canceled tomorrow
the Christmas lights outside shine bright through the snow storm

an autumn evening
you complain about having to rake leaves instead of playing
but you make up a game and end up having fun
you have to be dragged back inside because you were having so much fun
