I said, “I thought you’d have a day off or have university work to do or something” he looked at me and said, “I was meant to spend it with my girlfriend but she got drunk last night and said she was too sore to move.”

I said, “oh fair enough” he said, “she texts me the weirdest things when she gets drunk” and he pulled out his phone to show me a text.

The contact name read as “my baby!” I thought I recognised the face in the small profile picture, he pointed with his finger to a particular text, as I read it, I did everything to not react.

It simply said “baby can I be your piggy? I want to be your piggy queen, oink oink!!!!”

I quickly looked away and pretended to see if you had come out of the shop yet.

I looked back to him and said “yeah, that is pretty odd” he looked at me and said, “yeah my Topaz is a bit wild sometimes.”

All I could do was politely nod. I saw him look behind me. I turned around and you had rescued me from an awkward situation without knowing it.

I said, “it was nice talking to you fella, have a great day.”

I waited till we were a street away and told her about my entire conversation with the busker, her jaw dropped at the end and just said “oh my god.”

I said, “that must be what the piggy thing does, just brings something wild out in people, I think we should put it to bed for a while, don’t you?”

You looked at me and I knew what you were going to do, so we both simultaneously said “oink!” and laughed.

We have reached the train station now. It was tearing me apart knowing you had to go soon, I was secretly hoping for a train delay, so I had more time with you.

But within minutes I could see your train starting to roll in from the distance.

I quickly grabbed your face and kissed you; we shared a look of two people who had shared an experience that they couldn’t possibly fully explain to anyone, the moments, the feelings, the memories, the desire, the lust, and the pure happiness.

The train was almost at a standstill in front of us now, I kept my hands on the side of your face and quickly kissed you again and said, “I want you to hear me without distraction when I say this…….I love you…for now…and forever.”

I watched as you started doing the most beautiful crying I had ever seen, you were crying but it wasn’t out of sadness, your smile was infectious, I couldn’t stop smiling myself.

We kissed one last time and it was you this time that pulled away first and I leaned in for longer. I got why you did now.

I helped you put your bags on the train. I watched you sit down as I heard the ticket collector blow his whistle. I saw the automatic doors slam shut.

And off you went, my goddess.
