The loveliness of Spring
I'm a four-season climate person,
as winter lingers, my mood worsens.
At the birth of Spring, I feel renewed,
I have a better attitude.

Those little crocuses that peek,
out of the ground, down by the creek,
with all their vibrant colors show,
an artist's palette, kissed by snow.

One chilly day I talk a walk,
and just like that I see a flock,
of daffodils, their yellow hue,
still dripping from the morning dew.

A sure sign that warm days will come,
are robins basking in the sun,
so busy hopping here and there,
as if they didn't have a care.

I take my cart out of the shed,
and grab a hoe. A job I dread.
It's what my flower garden needs,
I look through all my flower seeds.

Soon everything is green from rain,
from inside, I watch gutter's drain,
the famished grass has now been fed,
a lovely carpet starts to spread.

Tomorrow is my day of rest,
and I will do what I love best,
take out a chair, enjoy the sun,
cares laid aside, and work all done.

Yes, Spring's my favorite time of year,
It brings new life, flowers appear.
Just like nature, our souls refreshed,
I'm cleansed, and truly feel blessed.
