Bad Detectives

Billings was hard at work in the park when he noticed the little boy in the red shirt.

"Hey kid, Why are you following me?"

"I always wanted to be a private investigator like you."

Billings cursed. If that kid figured out he was a detective then so probably had--

"Hey, why are you following me?" said the target.

"Well, your wife hired me."

"My wife? She knows that I'm a writer. I'm here to do research. I think that woman is a government agent."

"Indeed,I am, "said the woman flashing her badge. "Project blue-book. You're interfering with a federal investigation."

Then everyone gasped as a little green man appeared. "Earthlings, why are you following my spaceship?"

The woman spoke first. "As a representative of the U.S. government, I want to know what you're doing on our planet."

"I am studying Earthlings. I was tracking that young human in the red shirt."
