Have you ever stopped to listen to the dragon changing scales?
It rages against the storm and gnashes against your sails.
Upon your bow it thrashes it's body to and fro,
until your very vessel beneath the waves begins to go.
Within this moment of heated anger and deadly rage,
the violent temptation to hate all that it is will engage.
With deep breaths and silence I've let the violence go.
In calm understanding I've chosen a lighter shore.
The dragon did not wish to destroy itself upon my bow.
Nor did the beast desire to wreck all the good I had to give.
And though it is rage and hate, it still only desired to live.
So, with kindness, and a gentle tear.
I will leave the creature with all I own laying here.
Cause though it hates itself simply because it lives
I refuse to give in and hate it for only trying to exist.
