Living the free life
Si, Senor, I am a Desperado.
I ride, looking for opportunities,
from Old Mexico to Colorado.
I wreak havoc on your communities.

The devil woman, she rides by my side.
A senorita so dark and evil.
She is my soulmate, and she is my pride.
Together we will cause an upheaval.

In a poker game, I play hard and fast
because generally I take home the pot.
When I see the turn of a friendly card
I win, so it's adios to the lot.

Then rapidly we depart from the town,
horses loaded with mucho dinero.
We look for a place where we can bed down;
a canyon that is hidden and narrow.

In the morning they will know who's to blame
once they have discovered the empty till.
My lady snuck behind all of their backs
while they were so busy watching the game.

We live our lives full of danger and thrills,
never knowing what tomorrow might bring.
We ride through the plains, and over the hills,
not a care in the world for anything.

Sometimes we pair up with the banditos
to pull a robbery on the railroad.
Then we wear masks so we're incognito.
After, we hide to divide what is owed.

Then just the two of us are off again,
maybe down to the cool water seaside;
but soon it's for danger we once more yen.
We saddle our horses and off we ride.

We'll buy a ranch in a lush green valley,
when our wandering days are finally done.
Hang up our guns, propose a finale.
Live a rancher's life in the burning sun.

In the long run we'll have stories to tell
to the children on dark and snowy nights.
Near the fireplace in the house we dwelll
watching the flames from the flickering lights.
