a short story about two lovers
"You wanna get out of here?" she whispered mischievously.
"What? We'll get caught... won't we?"
"Doesn't hurt to find out." she said already grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the door. The music was loud, the kids, and counselors were dancing the cha cha slide; it was easy to slip out unnoticed. She smiled at him through the dark night sky, not sure if he could see or not. Both giggling like two eager little kids waiting for ice cream, they ran out to the middle of the large grassy field, a good distance away from the camp party cabin. Laying down, she could still feel the rhythmic 'thump, thump, thump' of the music in the ground. she turned her head to look at him, her whole world He was gazing up at the stars, looking peaceful as ever. She was smiling like a madman. Suddenly, he turned his head ever so slightly to look at her face.
"What is it?" he murmured, her face flushing red from embarrassment. She was so glad it was dark.
"nothing..." she bashfully whispered, moving herself closer to him. He put his arm around her, pulling her in as close as possible, and they laid there, legs tangled, hearts beating, staring up at the stars.
He started laughing, still looking up
"What's so funny?" she said curiously.
"I just... well I just can't believe you're mine."
She started laughing too. It was funny.
"Can't believe?" she asked amusingly, bringing her face close to his.
"I'll always be yours."
They kissed softly, and continued to gaze upon the great, big, beautiful universe.
