A meaningful writing about grief. |
Grief is painful, Grief is all-consuming. Grief doesn't care who you are. Grief doesn't care who you want to be. Grief is an unstable, intangible feeling. Grief sends you to a dark place. Grief rips away the bandages of the heart. Grief is an infection of the mind. Greif can tear a family apart. Grief can bind a family together. Grief stalks from the shadows of your mind. Grief sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Grief is ever-present, yet invisible. To know grief is to have known an emotion greater than love. To know grief is to have your mind tossed onto hot coals. Ignoring grief is pointless. Fighting grief is a wasted effort. To be swallowed by grief is to waste a life. Dealing with grief is terrifying. Dealing with grief is the only way to get out alive. To overcome grief is to remember the light. To overcome grief is to reach out a hand. To overcome grief is to trust those you love. To overcome grief is to accept it as it is. Grief has no opposite. Greif has no quick fix, Grief forces you to embrace reality. Most of all, Grief is inevitable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not everyone makes it through a whole year. Don't wonder, "What if?" Tell those around you that you love them. |
