Night has fallen on the Amethystian hive and the Ameth-orpians (amethyst Crystal scorpians) moved into the shadow of an elven camp,

Observation report,

We arrived at the specified location exited the gate and found a planet with a unique colour ground, it is a purplish hue grass surface even the nearby stream has a deep purple shimmer to it. We set up camp by the gate for easy access for our messengers to get orders back and forth. Be advised I'm getting bad vibes from this place, eyes are watching us but we can't tell from where.

"Captian Trivun, our scouts have found a strange rock for the scientists to study. where do you want it?" (elven scout)

The scientists took the odd-shaped rock, making notes of observations,

Setting the strange rock on the fifth table containing other crystal-like objects yet to be tested.

as they were analyzing the soil and purple grass, no one paid attention to the slight sound of cracking crystal as the egg hatched. Twenty polymorphic puddles moved to the designated targets, and they became three-foot cloudy purple armoured
the version of the beings in front of them. They had elven features up top and a body with eight-pointed legs, they walked with four legs side by side, two legs looked like a belt and the last two were across their chests. They had large pincers-like hands with stingers hidden in the wrists (Polymorphic crystalian scorplings)

Like silent killers, they snuck up on the scientists and stuck their necks with the stingers from their wrists and watched as the elves collapsed with the nerves shut down, then went to snacking. When the machine in the center of the room started to go haywire, they shrieked back from the sound. With their Heads shaking (involuntary) they only noticed the older siblings before shattering.
