Prep work for 2022 NaNoWriMo, the Plot Premise
Oct 2 Plot Premise

Settings:

In a world much like ours, it is possible for the few lucky ones to be able to converse with those who have past, whether to listen to their stories or to help them pass on completely.

Protagonist:

The widower Mikołaj Lockwood is such a person, able to interact with those spirits. His wife was one of 11 attorneys killed during a mass shooting three years before, but she has not come to him, and no spirit has talked to him about it. He has channeled those emotions into becoming Longfellow Wright, a private investigator, a man who finds lost loves and lost items.

Conflict:

Hired by his first love to find a ring from mythology, he has misgivings, since the Ring of the Magi (Balthazar) was spoken of in Kolodziej family legends. He sensed that she was sent to hire him by someone else.

Antagonist:

Mikołaj/Longfellow was correct in his assessment: The warlock Daniel Hathorne, a descendent of a Salem Witch Trial magistrate hired the former Francesca Di Giovanni to hire the man she called Miko.
