Invisible Crime Gang Busted
The Invisible Crime Gang Finally busted

247 words

Sam Adams was a mad scientist obsessed with the inventions of HG Wells. He wanted to develop an invisibility clock and become an international art thief. He sought out some criminal types, including a ‘criminal lawyer” and explained how they would be able to carry out the perfect heist using his invention.

There were five people in the crew. They targeted the Met museum in NYC, carefully monitoring security procedures for days until they had a few target pieces lined for discrete sales and were ready to go. The clock would work for three days. They would enter the museum at closing time, disable the security cameras, steal the art and walk out the door.

It worked like a charm. They entered undetected, disabled security cameras, stole five high-value artwork, and walked out the door. The next day they hit a few jewelry stores and a few banks. When the invisibility clock wore off at their hideout upstate, they counted their haul. Altogether, 5 million dollars.

Sam thought, “not bad for a few days work” the crew continued their crime spree for years before another scientist discovered how to track their invisible movements, and the reign of crime by the invisible gang as the media had dubbed them finally came to an end.

The prosecutors could not prove that they had committed the crimes but were able to bust them for unlawful money laundering and they were sent upriver for their sentences.

Write a story or poem about being invisible for the next three days. How did this happen? How would you make the most of this time?
