For those of us who are tired and need the strength to carry on. |
Note: This was written in a quick (messy) session, when I gaze up at the sun and clouds and felt the Divine that I would like to share my prayer with everyone. The “You” addressed in the poem is up for your personal interpretation, whether you believe in God, Allah, Buddha, the Universe, or the Great Nothing, it does not matter for we all come from the same source of Creation, we all have a part to play in the grand orchestra of life and no one is too insignificant to participate. Enjoy! In Your solace we seek, when our feet are wounded and our bodies weary from life’s daily battles, for when our minds are not thinking straight, and our hearts stuck in deep pain, give us the wisdom to know the truth, and widen our narrowed hearts so we can transcend our circumstances. Give us the wisdom to differentiate between Your voice and the noise, and compassion to forgive others, myself included, to grow beyond our vices and our differentiation, to put down our egos and be more patient. Remind us when we forget that You were there in every step of the way in the sun, the wind and the food we ate. Help us remember that we were once your children, A grand creation nestled in the wider universe, that we were always complete and whole, And life is just an experience To forge, to learn but never to control. |
