I think about you from time to time
Your life here was so short
Taken, just at your prime
Cancer, your life did distort

Thick as thieves we could be
Plotting some crazy scheme
Or angry as honey bees
We made a compelling team

We grew up and apart
As we were bound to do
You were always in my heart
But our contact days were few

Now you are gone from sight
Ashes in a ceramic urn
I hope you took wings in flight
From here ne'er to return
