Help will be given! |
“Why are you following me?” Matt said with annoyance as he tried to get away from her. “I need your help.” She responded. “I’m out of business!” “You know it doesn’t work that way.” Matt stopped and turned towards her. “What’s your name?” “You mean what was my name? Karen.” “What happened? Complained too much?” Matt giggled. “Do you really want to know?” She had an exasperated expression that made him feel uneasy. “Not really. I just want to be left alone. Is that too much to ask?” Matt said as he began his way down the street. “I just want to live my life without bumping into your kind every time I decide to breathe!” “You mean ghost?” “Like I said, I am out of business. Find someone else. Why me?” “Because we made eye contact.” Matt could not help but laugh out loud. “How romantic!” He sarcastically responded. She surprisingly manifested in front of him. He stopped and took a step back. “You will help me! Or so help me… GOD! I will haunt you!” Karan said angrily. Matt stared at her for a moment, eyebrows arched, impressed by her determination. Then he said: “Okay. Follow me.” They walked in silence until they reached the end of the street. “Through there.” Matt said. “An elevator? I don’t get it? Where is the light?” “I don’t like to know where you are heading too. Up or down. Plain and simple.” “You’re so cold. You don’t like people much, do you?” “In this business you have to be.” “But I thought you said you were out of business.” Matt scoffed and said: “Now I am.” The elevator doors swung open and she stepped inside. “Good-bye, Karen.” Matt said as the doors closed.
