Another Day

“We’ll see what the morning brings.”
That’s what I say,
When kissing my husband goodnight.
He says, “yes, tomorrow’s another day.”

We’re blessed to still be around
To welcome another dawn.
To hear the bird’s sweet sound,
With my tea, a kiss and a yawn.
