No where to go, only sleep. |
“I can’t sleep.” “Well, we’re stuck here all night. Try to get some rest. We have a long hike tomorrow,” Jeff said as he put the seat back, ready to sleep. Lilly rolled her eyes in annoyance. “How did you forget to grab a spare tire for times like these?” Lilly angry said. “Hey, I have the tools to fix a tire. That should mean something.” Lilly scoffed. “Are you trying to be funny?” “Is it working?” Jeff wondered with an innocent smile. “NO!” Lilly screamed with frustration. They were stuck on the side of the road by the woods that were rumored to be haunted. They had no help, in the dark and surrounded by thunder and lightning. Lilly was scared. Jeff sighed with annoyance. “I gotta go take a leak. I’ll be right back,” Jeff announced as he exited the car. “Wait a minute, you’re going to leave me here all by myself?” Lilly said, alarmed. “Oh, don’t worry, princess. You’re not going anywhere.” Jeff laughed as he slammed the door. “Jerk!” Lilly muttered as she watched him disappear into the woods. Time passed by and Lilly began to wonder about him. The rain came then. Pouring down with no sign of stopping. Lilly couldn’t see anything. Then she felt the car move. “Jeff?” Lilly asked out loud. “This isn’t funny!” The car rocked hard as Lilly cried in fear. “Please stop it!” Her mind played tricks on her. The rocking stopped and the laughter began. The car door opened and Jeff came in with a wide smile on his face. “Jeff, you jerk! I’m going to sleep!” Lilly screamed as she turned towards the window, leaned her head on it and closed her eyes. “Sweet dreams!” |
