It’s Flag Day, Cork, and in your family, of which I feel very honored to be a part, that means it’s also your birthday.
You would have been 66 years old today, you wonderful girl.
I miss not being able to celebrate birthdays, and holidays with any of you now. But the reason I can’t do that is in itself something very special. And that is that all of you are once again together as a family, and knowing that definitely helps me deal with not being able to be with the rest of you for a while.
I look forward to the day when I will join all of you once again, and that we will be together forever.
Marcia, please share this love I send you with your mom, dad, Suzie, and especially my high school sweetheart and wife, Linda.
I know it’s a cliché, but they’re the only words I have right now. Cork, I want you to know that I could not have asked for a better, more compassionate and loving sister-in-law than I have in you.
