Song I wrote
“BALLAD OF JACK AND JOE”
Back Jack -always was a lover
She loved it underneath the covers
And they say she was fine
Little Joe-always was a fighter
He fought oh so hard to win her
That they say he lost his mind
They met-ooh it was a happy day
She kissed his insanity all away

They found ooh a little castle
Their lives were finally worth the hassle
And they say they were in love
One child - the apple of their eye
That boy was their love's greatest prize
He put them up above
Their lives were nothing but easy street
And their love it tasted oh so very sweet

One night - back down in their hometown
All alone - and not a single sound
They were walking the street
One shot - rang out in the dark night
Jackie fell - the bullet took her life
And the gunman fled the scene
As Jackie left the darkness surround her
Little Joe, he knelt down and he cried beside her,
"No, no, no, no, no"
solo:

Back Jack - always was a lover
She loved it underneath the covers
And they say she was wild.
Little Joe sits - all alone drinking beer
Rememb'ring the woman he loved so dear
The mother of his child
Little Joe cries out to the bitter night
He lost the best prize of his life
