Kaori Yumesaki's Poem. A world seen through the eyes of solitude.
●One Million Years of Solitude

I’m here now.
A million years have passed, here I am.
Physical body was born only a few decades ago.
But…
But spirit is like a million years of solitude.

Silent for a million years.
A million years ago, my tears ran dry.

And yet it waits for something.
For the dawn to dance with hope.
The faint hope that love will lead to eternity.
Solid proof that love is not meaningless.

A million years of stupor-like blankness.
A million years worth of dry heartbeats.

They soak the space in a steady stream.
They shake my body in anguish.

To live is to be alone.
To live is to become accustomed to solitude.

Love the solitude of a million years.

●Meaningless Words

I know that.
I know that words are nothing but a string of nonsense.

What good are words to a man who’s starving right now?
What dood are words to a man who’s being shot at right now?
What dood are words to a man who’s lusting right now?

Words belong to the void.
Words are an impostor’s tool.

But I spell words.
That’s the only thing that’s certain for me right now.
But I spin my words.
That’s only thing that fills the gap of loneliness.

I hate me like that.
I love me for that.

I am a meaningless person who connects meaningless words.

●The fire is burning

Look.
That man, happy, kind man.
Lights a fire in my heart.

My heart suddenly burst into flames.
My heart, which was frozen before, suddenly melts.
I’m so happy.
I’m overjoyed.
I want to light someone else’s fire too.

The fire that he shared with me.
Once it’s lit.
I can’t keep it going.
I have to share it with someone else.
